Just walk to the end of Stafford Street, walk through the zig zag gate, and down the track where you have the option to find a seat looking out to the ocean or walk down to the beach.
Once on the sandy beach, if you walk right (south), this will take you to the Moeraki Boulders which form part of the Waitaki Whitestone Unesco Geopark,
If walking to the Moeraki Boulders, it is important to check the tides before you leave and only start the walk if you have time to walk there and back on low tide, as access is limited to the cliff face in high tide

The Moeraki Boulders are unique round boulder shaped rocks that protrude out of the sandy beach and cliff face,
They form part of the Waitaki Whitestone Unesco Geopark, along with many other special geological features to be seen throughout the Waitaki District, including Elephant Rocks.
